In order to promote the construction of our school’s superior disciplines, encourage postgraduate students to study diligently, be brave to innovate, and develop in an all-round way, and cultivate high-level talents, Shandong University of Finance and Economics has set up outstanding postgraduate overseas (foreign) research and exchange programs in recent years. Many outstanding postgraduates are sponsored to study abroad and participate in international conferences. These programs have trained many outstanding talents with international vision and outstanding scientific research capabilities. As a member of this project, Wang Yujie, grade-2017 postgraduate, went to Penang, Malaysia to participate in the International Computer Design and Engineering Forum (i3CDE) branch-Asian Design and Digital Engineering Conference (ACDDE2019) from July 7 to 10, 2019. On September 3rd, Wang Yujie exchanged and shared the experience of participating in international conferences and the latest research technology in the field of computer science.

At the exchange meeting, Wang Yujie introduced how to submit papers to the international conference, preparations for participation, and what she saw in the conference. At the same time, she introduced the new ideas about data processing and application learned in the forum. She said that during the meeting, she listened to the wonderful reports of famous experts at home and abroad, including Professor Kwang Hee from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Korea, Professor Wang Guangbin from Tongji University, and Professor Xu Jiefeng from the Chinese Academy of Architectural Research. They discussed the use and processing of digital data from different perspectives such as the scientific community, application field and industry. Among them, Professor KwangHee pointed out that with the introduction of more powerful smartphones, people are paying more and more attention to using them for Augmented Reality (AR) technology to add digital data to the images of the physical world on smartphones, and he proposed to mprove augmented reality technology by considering location tracking and matching in digital space and physical space. In addition, she also listened to outstanding master's and doctoral dissertations from the University of Tokyo University, Seoul University, Zhejiang University, Shandong University, etc., and felt the impact of multiculturalism. Besides, Wang Yujie thanked the school and college for providing the valuable opportunity to participate in this international conference. This experience broadened her academic horizons, recognized the shortcomings in the scientific research process, broadened her research ideas, and has new directions for her research. Participating in international conferences has also greatly improved her level of oral English. In the future, she will apply what she has learned, and apply the new technologies and ideas she have learned to academic work. This experience exchange will allow students to understand the basic process of applying for a short-term overseas (foreign) postgraduate study visit, get in touch with the cutting-edge ideas and technologies of international conferences, and provide valuable experience for students who are willing to study abroad.
Participating in international academic exchange activities enables excellent postgraduate students to keep abreast of the frontier research trends of international disciplines, and broaden their academic horizons, which will help optimize the talent training model, improve the quality of graduate training, and promote the construction of first-class disciplines in the school.
