Our School Recruits the First Batch of International Students with Academic Qualifications, Improving the International Admission to a High Level
In 2018, our college welcomed the first batch of full-time foreign students. Two students from Pakistan will take classes with 15 Chinese graduate students of grade 2018 to pursue a three-year master’s degree in Engineering. The first batch of international students majoring in computer science and technology were selected from a large number of international students in response to the national “Promoting the Construction of the “Belt and Road” Education Initiative. They also won the first-class scholarship of “Peiyou Award” for international students of Shandong University of Finance and Economics. This indicates that our school has made great progress in running an international school, and it also represents the continuous enhancement of our school’s strength, level of running a school and international influence in recent years.
Our school has always been adhering to the positive and open school philosophy, adhering to the direction of internationalization, committing to promoting foreign exchanges, paying attention to the trend of international teaching, keeping up with the requirements of the times and the direction of scientific and technological progress, constantly expanding the business channels in international exchanges, enhancing the ability of international school. While highlighting the characteristics of finance and economics, we are also actively cultivating international talents with ideas, abilities and high levels. In recent years, our teachers and students have been participating in more and more foreign exchange and visiting study programs, and the international cooperation training programs have also made great progress. This year’s enrollment of international students for the first time is the breakthrough result of our transformation from a talent transfer unit to an international student training unit in international exchange, which is the overall level improvement.
In the future, our college will still pay attention to strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, continue to improve the international level of talent training, scientific research, social services and other aspects, constantly broaden the way of running schools abroad, seize the development opportunities of the new era, and further develop the college into a distinctive college of finance and engineering with significant international influence.
